RAJOURI: With the aim of enhancing contact with AWAAM and to have better understanding with local people, Indian Army organised an Amity meeting at Panchayat Ghar Khoriwali of Rajouri district.
The meeting was attended by a large number of villagers to include the Sarpanch and prominent personalities of the village. The interaction was aimed to build mutual trust between security forces and local population and also to identify key issues that need to attention for a better quality of life among the locals. The amity meeting acts as a platform wherein problems being faced by the locals and specific requirements with respect of basic amenities are brought forward to improve the quality of life, build mutual trust between Indian Army and the populace. The meeting is an important forum for discussion on various welfare activities that the Army could conduct in order to assist the locals in improving their quality of life. The meeting was attended by local villagers and prominent personalities including Irshad Ahmad Sarpanch of Ghar Khoriwali.
This gesture further cemented the existing strong ties between the Indian Army and the local populace.
