Peeved over the exclusion of candidates having qualification above 10+2, from participating in 8575 Class-IV recruitments, the activists of Panthers Party, held a protest demonstration. Led by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman-JKNPP & former Minister, the protestors raised slogans and torched an effigy of the BJP Government. Speaking on the occasion, Harsh Dev Singh accused the BJP Government of betraying the educated youth with negligible job avenues having been created during the past six years of saffron rule. He said that while the tall slogans of BJP of empowerment of youth proved a hoax after its ascendance to power, the highly qualified youth have been the worst sufferers of Govt’s ill conceived policies. Pointing towards the recent notification for 8575 posts of Class-IV, Singh said that it was ironical to note that candidates with more than 10+2 qualification had been debarred from applying for the said posts. “The Government has failed to advertize any jobs for highly qualified despite thousands of vacancies in colleges, schools, hospitals and other health institutions and other professional intuitions under the pretext of resource crunch. The net result is elimination of M Phils, Ph Ds, NET, SLET, Graduates and Post-graduates besides professional degree holder youth from all kinds of selections thereby doling out the most contemptuous treatment to them, their only sin being that they are highly qualified,” he said. Taking a pot shot at the BJP Government, Singh said that while it was releasing scholarship to the wards of militants, it was shamelessly showing empty coffers to the educated youth who had catapulted it to power. Seeking the review of advertisement notification, Singh said that all Class-IV posts should be open to all above middle pass without any bar on maximum qualification in the interests of justice and fair play.
