Police on Monday nabbed a drug peddler and recovered 9 Challis of cannabis from his possession. As per details, during checking and frisking by Naka Party at Bagga, one person namely Nazir Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, resident of village Sarh Bhagga of Tehsil Mahore who was coming from Angralla on Alto car (JK02AD 1428) towards Mahore town was put to thorough checking. During search nine challis of cannabis (Charas in common parlance) was recovered from his possession. The arrested drug peddler belongs to village Sarh Bhagga of Tehsil Mahore and is involved in supplying and selling of narcotic drugs in Mahore, Baddar, Bagga, Sarh, Damini, Sungri and Balmatkote area of Tehsil Mahore. A case vide FIR No .25/2020 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Mahore. Recovery was made by SHO Mahore Mohd Aslam Choudhary assisted by ASI Ashok Kumar and party under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Khalid Ashraf DYSP, and under the overall supervision of ASP Surjeet Bhagat, and SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir.
