The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre in Udheywala, Jammu, successfully organized a one-day free health camp on 22 February. The camp featured Dr. Nikhil Mahajan, a very renowned cardiologist of Jammu and specialists from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College (GAMC), Akhnoor. Dr. Sudesh Gupta, an expert in Kshar Sutra treatment, providing consultations for conditions like piles, fistula, and other related ailments. Dr. Twinkle Gupta in treating chronic conditions such as diabetes, joint pain, stress, and anxiety, was also available for consultations.
The health camp provided a comprehensive range of free medical services, including consultations with Cardiologist, Orthopaedist, Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeons, Ophthalmologist, Allopathy Physicians, Ayurvedic Physicians and Physiotherapist. Refreshments were also provided for all attendees.
In addition to the free consultations, the camp offered check-ups for blood sugar, Hba1c, and blood pressure at no cost. A Full Body Check-up covering 66 parameters, including CBC, LFT, KFT, Lipid profile, BSF, Urine tests, and thyroid function tests (T3, T4, TSH), Vitamin D was available for a nominal fee of Rs. 1200, a substantial discount from the usual price of Rs. 2300.
A total 390 of patients benefited from the expertise of 14 doctors at this camp. Total 70 fibro scan, and 26 Spirometry tests were done free of cost. This camp was a part of Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and providing accessible healthcare services to all.
Distinguished guests including Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament of Jammu. He praised the Mission’s commendable work and encouraged local citizens to make the most of these medical services.
