Dogra Higher Secondary School, Help Age India host Drawing Competition

Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, in collaboration with Help Age India, successfully organized a Drawing Competition aimed at fostering creativity and raising awareness about elderly care. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 60 students from various schools, who showcased their artistic talents with great zeal. The competition revolved around the theme “Bridging Generations – Caring for Our Elders” and featured students from UKG to Class 8, focusing on topics such as “Family Tree” and “Ageing with Dignity.”
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director of Dogra Higher Secondary School, who encouraged the young participants and lauded their efforts in expressing their thoughts through art.
The competition was judged by a distinguished panel, including Neeru, Manager of Help Age India, Arun Sir, Member of the National Committee of Bharat Vikas Parishad, and Jagdish Slathia, Finance Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shastri Nagar. The panel had the challenging task of selecting the winners, given the exceptional talent displayed by the students.
In the Play Way (Primary) category, Soham from UKG (Kinder’s Nest) secured the first prize, followed by Neeharika from UKG (Dogra Higher Secondary School) in second place, and Amritye from UKG (Stepping Stone) in third place. In the Primary Wing category, Misbah from Class 3rd (Dogra Higher Secondary School) won the first prize, Rojit from Sri Guru Ram Das Public School secured second place, while Sandhye Ahirwar from B.B.N Public School bagged the third prize. In the Senior Category, Shaziya from Class 7th (Dogra Higher Secondary School) claimed the first prize, Pooja from Class 7th (BBN School) secured second place, and Yashkirat from Class 8th (Dogra Higher Secondary School) finished in third place.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Taniya (Class 6th, B.B.N School), Mehtaab Singh (Class 7th, Dogra Higher Secondary School), Harshit Sehgal (Class 6th, Dogra Higher Secondary School), Palak (Class 7th, B.B.N School), Anjali (Class 8th, B.B.N School), and Ayush (Class 6th, B.B.N School).
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak praised the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering empathy and awareness about elder care.
Neeru, one of the judges, appreciated the creativity and dedication of the participants, highlighting the need for nurturing artistic expression among young minds.
Principal Devinder Kour commended both students and teachers for their enthusiasm and hard work in making the event a grand success.
The program concluded with the distribution of prizes, marking a memorable and inspiring day of artistic expression at Dogra Higher Secondary School.
