Gurdeep Singh hoists National Flag in RS Pura, pays tribute to Martyrs on Republic Day

On the occasion of Republic Day, BJP Panchayati Raj Cell’s J&K Convenor and former Sarpanch of Gandli Panchayat, RS Pura, Gurdeep Singh Saini hoisted the Tricolour at the Panchayat Bhawan, the memorial sites of Shaheed Nayak Surinder Singh Saini and Shaheed Tarsem Lal, as well as at the Government School. Extending his heartfelt greetings to all countrymen on this auspicious day, he emphasized the significance of the Republic Day celebrations.
Before the flag-hoisting, representatives of the Panchayat, along with villagers, paid floral tributes to the martyrs and honored their supreme sacrifice. Family members of the martyrs were also present on the occasion. In his address, Gurdeep Singh Saini expressed deep gratitude towards the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s security, stating that the country remains forever indebted to their sacrifice. He highlighted that while India attained independence on August 15, 1947, the Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950, granting equal rights to every citizen. He also assured the people of the Panchayat that he had worked diligently for its development during his tenure as Sarpanch and would continue striving for the welfare and progress of the region in the future.
On this occasion, talented students who presented outstanding performances in the Republic Day program were also honored and encouraged by Saini.
The event witnessed the presence of former Naib Sarpanch Pyare Lal, Pawan Singh, Satya Devi, Harjinder Singh, Darshan Singh, and several other Panchayat members and villagers.
