Expressing sympathy with the aggrieved candidates for the posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, who have appeared in the written test on January 12, 2025, Sat Sharma (CA), president, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, has stressed upon the PSC authorities to take a lenient view of the grievances of these unemployed people and do the needful at the earliest.
Sat Sharma said this when a deputation of the candidates for the Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, called on him at party headquarters, to seek help in resolving their issue related to overlapping of syllabus of written test with that of Veterinary Assistant Professor (Veterinary Technology) same exam held by same authority, JK PSC, which will harm their interests and deny justice to them.
The members of the deputation narrated that they had applied through proper channel for the posts of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Public service Commission (PSC) and appeared in the written test held but more than 60 per cent questions in the papers were out of the syllabus.
They further told that the advertisement had mentioned that 20 questions shall be from general knowledge at the state and national level, but only 7 questions in the paper adhered to the requirement.
They said that not following the notified syllabus for the written test, the examining authority has created the fear of an unfair examination process, which is not justified by any yardstick.
It will deprive the genuine aspirants of fair opportunity which is contrary to the principles of transparency and justice that JKPSC unholds.
Sat Sharma CA, listened to their grievances patiently and assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities for redressal of the matter on priority so that the deserving candidates are not deprived of job opportunity.
BJP vice president & MLA Yudhvir Sethi, BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, former MLC Shehnaz Ganai, were also present on the occasion when the deputation called on the party president..
