Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu organized a one-day conference on the occasion of Wiladat-e-Imam Ali (A.S.) at its Head Office, Karbala Complex, Wazarat Road, Jammu. The event marked the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S.), a reminder to uphold the values of kindness, integrity, and respect, as exemplified by this noble leader. The organizers called upon people of all faiths to unite in a spirit of harmony and compassion to celebrate this significant occasion.
A large number of participants from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories attended the conference. Religious scholars, poets, and intellectuals from across the country were invited to highlight the golden era of Imam Ali (A.S.) as a Caliph, his teachings on humanity, and his unwavering commitment to justice for all members of society.
Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Jammu East, and Gulchain Singh Charak, President of Dogra Sadar Sabha and former Cabinet Minister, graced the event as Chief Guests. Jenab Sohail Kazmi attended as the Special Guest. In their addresses, they emphasized the relevance of Imam Ali’s (A.S.) teachings in promoting unity, justice, and compassion.
During the conference, two books authored by Syed Amanat Ali Shah, President of Anjuman-e-Imamia, were released.
“Tareekh-e-Anjuman-e-Imamia” chronicles the journey of Anjuman-e-Imamia from its inception to the present day, documenting the contributions off individuals who have upheld the essence of Shiaism in the Jammu region and their service to society.
“Tosha-e-Akhirat” is a collection of personal experiences and life lessons by Syed Amanat Ali Shah.
Additionally, the newly renovated and tiled Zanbiya Hall, completed under the auspices of Anjuman-e-Imamia, was inaugurated in the presence of religious scholars.
Prominent speakers at the conference included Moulana Ali Razwan Zaidpuri from Lucknow, Maulana Syed Iftikhar Ali Jafari, Maulana Syed Zaheer Abbas Jaffery from Poonch, and Maulana Sheikh Jawad Ruhhani from Kargil. The scholars eloquently spoke about Imam Ali’s (A.S.) dedication to justice, fairness, and humanity. They highlighted his governance’s focus on protecting the oppressed and ensuring social and economic justice. The audience was encouraged to stand against cruelty and advocate for justice in all spheres of life.
The proceedings were conducted by Moulana Ali Badshah, Afaq Hussain Kazmi (Vice President), and Ayaz Naqvi (Joint Secretary) of Anjuman-e-Imamia. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Sujat Khan, Secretary of Anjuman-e-Imamia.
