A deputation of the All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir (AJBRCEAK) met with Sat Sharma (CA), President of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP, at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The deputation submitted a memorandum outlining their grievances regarding the transfer policy and other issues.
The delegation, led by Anil Radha, President of AJBRCEAK, presented their memorandum in the presence of senior BJP leaders, including DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, MLA Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, SC Morcha President Neelam Langeh, BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, and SC Morcha General Secretary Gulshan Bhagat. The memorandum highlighted that Jammu-based reserved category employees have been serving in the Kashmir Division for the past 15 years. In 2022, a committee was established to examine the transfer-related issues of these employees, focusing on the Inter-District/Inter-Division Recruitment Policy introduced in 2006. However, no concrete steps have been taken to address the demands of these employees or to frame a suitable transfer policy.
The deputation requested the BJP President’s intervention to address key demands, including:
” Formulating and implementing a clear inter-district/inter-division transfer policy for Jammu-based reserved category employees.
” Limiting the tenure of service in the Kashmir Valley to five years, after which employees should be transferred to their respective home districts.
” Providing safe and secure accommodations for these employees, equivalent to the facilities provided to PM Package Employees.
Sat Sharma patiently listened to the grievances and assured the deputation that he would bring the issues mentioned in the memorandum to the attention of the relevant authorities. He reaffirmed that the BJP has consistently worked towards resolving the legitimate problems faced by Jammu-based employees serving in Kashmir.
