The Jammu and Kashmir Business Confederation (JKBC) President Mohammad Altaf Dar (Rajbagh) has raised alarm over the ongoing business slowdown in Kashmir, with traders reporting a significant decline in sales across various sectors. The slowdown has left local businesses struggling to maintain operations and meet financial obligations.
JKBC emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to stimulate economic activity, including policy reforms, subsidies, and incentives for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The confederation also appealed to consumers to support local businesses during these challenging times.
“This slowdown has severely impacted our livelihoods. Immediate action is required to prevent further damage to the market and economy,” said a President Mohammad Altaf Dar for JKBC.
The JKBC urged the administration to collaborate with stakeholders and formulate a comprehensive strategy to address the crisis and ensure long-term economic stability in the region.
