To commemorate Wildlife Conservation Day, the Eco Warrior Club of Dogra Degree College organized an enlightening visit to Jumbo Zoo for its students. This initiative aimed to promote awareness about wildlife conservation and foster a deeper connection with nature among young minds.
During the visit, the students were given guided tours by zoo officials, who shared valuable insights into the lives of various endangered species and ongoing conservation efforts. The students actively engaged in interactive sessions, learning about the importance of preserving biodiversity and the role of zoos in protecting wildlife.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Palak Gupta, Convenor Eco Warrior Club of Dogra Degree College emphasized the significance of instilling environmental consciousness in students. “Through initiatives like these, we aim to inspire our students to take an active role in conserving wildlife and understanding their responsibility towards a sustainable future.
The programme was ably conducted under the guidance of Ms. Palak Gupta, Ms. Tina Sharma, Ms. Anita Sharma, Ms. Kirti Sharma, Mr. Rinkal Gupta and Mr. Ashish Thakur.
The visit concluded with students pledging to take small but impactful steps in their daily lives to contribute to wildlife conservation. The event underscored the Eco Warrior Club commitment to creating environmentally responsible citizens.
Dr. Bela Charak, Principal Dogra Degree College appreciated the spirit of the volunteers who created a new vision of saving wildlife and its conservation in their minds and took the responsibility to guide the society for the same.
