In an effort to inspire patriotism and encourage the youth to serve the nation, the Indian Army organized an insightful lecture on the Agniveer Scheme at Chingam, Kishtwar. The event aimed at motivating young minds to explore a noble and rewarding career in the Indian Army while bridging the gap between the Armed Forces and the local community.
The Agniveer Scheme, introduced to attract and train youth for short-term service in the Indian Army, was the focal point of the session. The lecture highlighted numerous benefits under the scheme, such as an attractive salary structure, comprehensive allowances, and a Seva Nidhi package to ensure financial security post-service. Additionally, participants were informed about the insurance coverage, medical facilities, and skill development programs available during the tenure, along with educational benefits to secure their future. The session also included inspiring stories of bravery and selflessness by soldiers, resonating deeply with the attendees and creating a sense of admiration and respect for the Armed Forces. These real-life anecdotes served as powerful examples of valor and commitment, further motivating the participants to consider a career in the Indian Army.
A total of 25 enthusiastic participants from Chingam and nearby villages attended the event. The interactive nature of the session allowed the youth to ask questions, gain clarity about the recruitment process, and understand the potential career opportunities within the Armed Forces.
