Inter-School National Group Song Competition held at Dogra School by Bharat Vikas Parishad

The Inter-School National Group Song Competition, organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Tridev Branch, Shastri Nagar, was held this morning at Dogra Higher Secondary School. The event provided a vibrant platform for showcasing the musical talents of local students. It was anchored by Miss Shivani and conducted under the supervision of Vice Principal Mrs. Gagandeep Bedi.
The competition featured enthusiastic participation from three prominent schools: Dogra Higher Secondary School, Ranvir Higher Secondary School, Parade, and Girls Higher Secondary School. Students from these schools performed group songs in both Hindi and Sanskrit, displaying remarkable talent and coordination. Dogra Higher Secondary School emerged as the winner, securing the first position in both categories. Following this achievement, Dogra Higher Secondary School has been selected to compete at the state level. Ranvir Higher Secondary School took the second place, while Girls Higher Secondary School earned the third place.
The event was graced by Chief Guest, Chairman Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, a respected educationist and former Minister. In addition to delivering an inspiring address, he gave away the prizes to the winners, applauding the students for their dedication and hard work. He emphasized the importance of blending cultural education with academics to shape well-rounded individuals and commended Bharat Vikas Parishad for consistently promoting India’s cultural heritage.
Guest of Honour, Managing Director Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, also addressed the gathering, appreciating the participants’ performances. He highlighted the role of such events in building confidence, teamwork, and discipline among students and encouraged them to continue participating in cultural programs that deepen their connection to their roots.
Several distinguished members of Bharat Vikas Parishad, including M.L. Padha, B.R. Sharma, J.S. Slathia, Shivram Sharma, Arun Sharma, and B.B. Sharma, were present to lend their support to the event.
The competition was judged by a panel of respected experts in the field of music, including Yashpal Yash, and Kuldeep Saproo, a well-known name in Bollywood and punjabi movies
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Arun Sharma, member of Bharat Vikas Parishad, who expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, dignitaries, judges, and participants for making the event a grand success. He particularly appreciated the efforts of Bharat Vikas Parishad in organizing such meaningful events and emphasized the importance of cultural activities in fostering unity and national pride among students.
