The highly anticipated Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat (EBSB) Jammu edition has officially begun, with cadets from the NCC Directorates of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh (JK&L) participating at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota. This event, organized under the aegis of the NCC Directorate of JK&L, is scheduled to run from 14 October to 25 October 2024. The primary objective of the camp is to promote national unity and integration through cultural exchange, with cadets showcasing the rich heritage, traditions, and cultures of their respective states. The camp opened with an inspiring address by Brigadier PS Cheema, SM, VSM, Group Commander of the NCC Group Headquarters, Jammu. In his speech, Brigadier Cheema urged the cadets to uphold the core values of the NCC, which emphasize unity and discipline. He encouraged them to give their best effort, learn from one another, and make the most of this opportunity to build lifelong memories and friendships.
The EBSB camp provides a dynamic platform for cross-cultural interaction, enabling cadets to engage in various activities that highlight the unique traditions, languages, and lifestyles of their states. Throughout the camp, cadets will participate in sports competitions, literary events, and cultural performances designed to showcase their skills, encourage teamwork, and foster creativity. These activities aim to develop a deep sense of appreciation for the diversity of India’s cultural heritage.
