Medical Camp Organized at Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar

As part of the community outreach initiative of the Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu, a medical aid camp focusing on anemia was successfully held today at Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad, Tridev Shakha, Shastri Nagar, Jammu. The camp, conducted under the Anemia Mukt Bharat program, aimed to provide free medical consultations and health services to students and staff, with a focus on anemia prevention and treatment.
A specialized team from the Government Ayurvedic Hospital, led by Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Medical Officer (In-Charge of the camp), along with Dr. Dilawar Khan, Medical Officer, and other medical professionals, including Dr. Divya Sharma, Dr. Pooja Gupta, and Dr. Tooseef Ahmed (interns), ensured the smooth execution of the camp. Support was provided by Mr. Shahdeep, a trained pharmacist, and Mr. Raghav Kumar, a member of the paramedical team, who actively participated in patient care.
The camp commenced at 10:30 AM, with a large number of students and staff attending for health check-ups and consultations. Services provided included anemia screening, general health check-ups, and the distribution of necessary medications and supplements.
The Chairman of the School, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, visited the camp to review the arrangements made by the school in collaboration with the hospital team. He praised the efforts of both the school staff and the medical team for organizing such a beneficial program and emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups for students.
Vice Principal, Gagandeep Bedi and Headmaster, Ganesh Das Gupta were present to supervise the camp and ensure its smooth functioning.
Their presence provided encouragement and support to both the medical staff and the attendees.
The camp was organized with strong involvement from Bharat Vikas Parishad, Tridev Shakha, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, whose members include Arun Sharma, National Committee Member, BVP, B.B. Sharma, State President, Shivram, General Secretary, Sunita Gupta, Finance Secretary and Sd. Gurmeet Singh, State Convenor.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to raise health awareness and provide accessible medical services to the community. The camp was well-received by attendees, and similar initiatives are expected in the future to promote health and well-being among students.
