NCC Unit of Dogra Degree College organizescleanliness drive at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park

The NCC Unit of Dogra Degree College in collaboration with the NCC Unit of Dogra Law College organized a cleanliness drive at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, Bari Brahmana (Dhyansar) to mark and celebrate the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, today on 28th of September 2024.
The cleanliness drive started at 11:00 AM wherein the 18 NCC Cadets conducted a cleanliness drive in the park by collecting the plastic and the non-biodegradable waste from the park and uprooting the unwanted weeds and collected the stones from the park and the collected waste was properly disposed.
The cadets also cleaned the statues of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev.
The NCC Unit also paid the floral tribute the statues of all the three great freedom fighters who fought for our motherland India and sacrifice their youth and life for the motherland and betterment of the Indian people. The cadets also cleaned the nearby area of the park and made the people aware about the cleanliness of our surrounding and also made the people aware about the contribution of shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev.
Gulshan Sharma, ANO/CTO Dogra Degree College made the NCC Cadets aware of the role that Bhagat Singh has played at a very young age by sacrificing his life for the people and his mother land. He also motivated the cadets to take inspiration from the life of the great freedom fighter and learn the values of sacrifice patriotism and love for once country.
Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College appreciated the spirit of the NCC Cadet who took a great initiative celebrate such days of our beloved freedom fighters who sacrifice their lives for us. The NCC Cadets spreaded a great awareness about the cleanliness in the society and took it as a social responsibility to save our nature and planet earth, she added.
The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem and chanting the Bharat Mata ki jai by the NCC Cadets.
