Dogra Degree College Bari Brahmana organized an Induction cum Orientation Programme for the new entrances of semester 1st (Session 2024-25), today on 14/09/2024. The programme was organized by the IQAC, Dogra Degree College. The chief guest of the function was Th. Gulchain Singh Charak Ji, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust. The programme started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and the other dignitaries. After the lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana was presented by the students of the college.
The welcome address was presented by Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College. In her address, she welcomed the students and their parents with an open heart and congratulated the students who will start their new educational journey in the college. Ms. Aditi Khajuria, Faculty Dogra Degree College presented a PowerPoint presentation about the Institution, its Vision, Values, Mission, Motto, Teaching Faculty and Committee members,Facilities, Supporting Staff, Code of Conduct and Rules and Regulations. The programme also had an experience-sharing session by the alumini and students of the senior semester which included Mr. Akul (B.Com), Mr. Chiranjeev Singh Gill (B.A), Ms. Anshika (BBA).
The chief guest in his address welcomed the students and their parents to the Dogra Degree College and extended his best wishes to the new entrances who have entered into their new learning phase. He also motivated the students to have a good time and experiences in the co-curricular activities along with the academics. He also appreciated the Principal, Staff and Student Council members for organizing such a wonderful induction ceremony for the new entrances to familiarize them with their college, faculty and their respective courses.
Dr. Samardev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust motivated the students and congratulated them for their new educational journey in Dogra Degree College. He appreciated the principal , staff of Dogra Degree college for organizing this function to pave a clear way for the new entrances to start their educational journey smoothly and effectively.
Dr. Dharamveer Sharma , Dean DET in his address motivated the students for their better decisions towards their education . He guided the students about creating a balance between the academics and co-curricular activities that are going to be organized in the coming time so as to develop their overall personalities.
The faculty members and the supporting staff who contributed in the overall management and organization of the whole event were Ms. Kanchan Dubey, Mr. Balwant Singh, Ms. Shikha Gupta, Ms. Tina Sharma, Ms. Aditi Khajuria, Ms. Simran Thakur, Ms. Monika Sharma, Ms. Sonia Gupta, Ms. Preeti Sharma, Ms. Amarpreet Kaur, Ms. Palak Gupta, Mr. Ravinder, Ms. Swati Mahajan, Ms. Pranika Gupta, Ms. Rachana, Devi, Ms. Shivani Kashyap, Mr. Rinkal Gupta, Ms. Anita Sharma, Ms. Kirti Sharma ,Ms. Shivangi , Mr. Rahul Singh, Mr. Vishal Singh, Mr. Gulshan Sharma, Mr. Sunil, Mr. Ram Pal and Ms. Suman.
During the orientation ceremony students participated in various interactive games organized by the faculty. These games designed to foster teamwork an break the ice, included activities like Tie-knotting , cup dancing , pyramid building.The enthusiastic involvement of both students and faculty helped create a lively and welcoming atmosphere encouraging new friendships and collaboration
The vote of thanks was presented by Ms Amarpreet, Faculty Dogra Degree College. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. The whole programme was well-conducted by Mr. Ravinder Kumar, Faculty, Dogra Degree College under the able supervision of Ms Swati Mahajan.
