Dogra Higher Secondary School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm. The celebration, expertly anchored by Pihu and Shweta, showcased the deep appreciation and respect that students have for their teachers through a series of performances and speeches.
The event began with a speech by Jiya of Class 12, who eloquently expressed the profound influence that teachers have in shaping the lives of their students. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, setting a reflective and appreciative tone for the rest of the day’s festivities.
A beautiful poetry recitation by Shrishty of Class 11 followed, where she touched on themes of gratitude and respect. Her poem was a touching tribute to the teachers, capturing the emotional connection that students feel towards their mentors. Next, the audience was treated to a musical performance by the girls of Class 10. Their soulful renditions of songs dedicated to teachers filled the room with warmth and joy, adding a melodic touch to the celebration. One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the enactment of teachers by students. Ritik’s portrayal of MD Sir, Ishleen’s depiction of the Principal, and Rudrakshi’s performance as the Vice Principal were met with applause and laughter. These enactments, filled with humor and affection, showcased the students’ keen observation and deep appreciation for their teachers. Our Principal, Devinder Kour, sent her heartfelt wishes, expressing deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work of all the teachers. She emphasized the vital role they play in shaping students’ lives and the nation’s future. She encouraged students to always respect their teachers and concluded by honoring the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose vision continues to inspire educators globally.
Managing Director Gambhir Dev Singh Charak addressed the gathering, delivering a powerful and inspiring speech. He emphasized the crucial role that teachers play in society and highlighted their dedication, passion, and commitment. His words were a motivating force, encouraging the teachers to continue their noble work with renewed enthusiasm and pride.
Following Managing Director’s address, Chairman Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak took the stage to share his thoughts on the importance of education in building a better future. He praised the relentless efforts of the teachers at Dogra Higher Secondary School and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in education. His speech reinforced the school’s mission to provide a holistic learning environment where both students and teachers can thrive.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Vice Principal, Gagandeep Bedi.
