JAMMU, Aug 26
Dozens of youths today joined Apni Party in Vijaypur in Samba District expressing their faith in the leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari sahab, President, Apni Party.
The joining program cum meeting was organized under the leadership of Party’s Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh.
The Former Minister welcomed the new entrants into the party folds and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party at the grass root level.
Addressing them on the occasion, S. Manjit Singh said that the educated youth are concerned about the growing unemployment among them that has shown an unprecedented rise.
“The Central Govt as well as J&K’s Govt have failed to generate employment opportunities that has disheartened the youth. The youth have less options in Govt as well as private sector. In the private sector, the companies and industrial sector prefer engaging them on contract basis without wage protection in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, reminding about the minimum wage act that should be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure wage protection to the people serving in the private sector.
He said that the youth want job security and wage fixation as per the expertise in different fields.
“The Govt has not protected the rights of the working class due to which the youth shift from one job to another due to unsatisfactory wages that cannot meet the challenges due to expenses. Hence, the industrial sector and other unorganized sectors shall be held accountable for their negligence for not providing job security, wage fixation, and bearing medical expenses of the employees,” he added.
He said that if the Apni Party forms the Govt, it would come out with a comprehensive plan to protect the rights of the workers in private sector and provide protection to the jobs of the local educated youth in both skilled and unskilled sectors.
He said that the Govt aide shall be provided to the private sectors, who provide all the benefits to their workers.
“We are in favour of the implementation of the minimum wage act, restoration of Old Pension Scheme, and release of wages of the daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, extending support to the working class which struggles in their day to day life.
He said that the Apni Party is committed to upgrade the living standard of the working class and provide them Govt benefits.
Meanwhile, he also said that the Apni Party, if it comes to power, will advertise all the vacant posts for recruitment in different Govt departments.
Similarly, the decision about the regularization of the over 61000 daily wagers would also be taken with the enhancement of their wage, and release of their pending wages.
“We want that the employees, daily wagers, Govt officials, and workers of organized/unorganized sectors in private industries shall get all the benefits from the Govt so that the Jammu and Kashmir can grow equally without disparity with anyone,” he added.
