Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana, Samba celebrated ‘National Space Day by organizing an enlightening seminar on the theme i.e. “Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga” on 23rd of August, 2024. The event, held in the campus, brought together students, faculty members to delve into the profound impact of space exploration on everyday life and its potential to shape our future. The seminar was graced by the Principal, Dogra Degree College, Faculty members and the students. The students shared their insights on the latest developments in space technology, the milestones achieved in lunar exploration, and how these advancements contribute to enhancing various aspects of human life on Earth.
In her opening remarks, the IQAC Coordinator, Dogra Degree College emphasized the importance of space exploration not just as a scientific endeavor but as a catalyst for technological innovation and societal progress. She highlighted the college’s commitment to fostering a spirit of inquiry and innovation among students, encouraging them to explore the vast possibilities that space science offers.
The participants captivated the audience with a presentation on the recent missions to the moon and their implications for future space exploration. They drew connections between space technologies and their applications in everyday life, such as in communications, healthcare, and environmental monitoring.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Palak Gupta, Convener Eco-warrior club, Dogra Degree College , who expressed gratitude to the participants, and everyone involved in making the event a success.
