Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh said that the Party is committed to restore the old pension scheme in favour of the Jammu and Kashmir employees and its officers.
“The Party has taken serious view of the unfriendly policy i.e., New Pension Scheme that is implemented in J&K as it does not provide benefits that are available to them under the Old Pension Scheme,” said S. Manjit Singh, addressing a meeting as a part of election campaign in Vijaypur, Samba.
He said that the last ten years in Jammu and Kashmir would be remembered with anti-people policies in which the people were not consulted, and the policies and laws were implemented without the consultation of the public leaders.
“The laws and amendments whichever is implemented in Jammu and Kashmir without the consent of the people will never be accepted. Therefore, the Apni Party has decided that it would constitute a committee to restore the Old Pension Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir for the welfare of the Govt employees and the officers,” he stated.
He said that the employee’s unions have been silenced and no one dares to raise their voice against the Govt’s wrong policies.
“The dictatorial attitude adopted by the Govt and its mechanism in bureaucracy has compelled the people to express their resentment against the policies which have compromised the interest of the people as well as the erstwhile state of J&K,” he added.
Meanwhile, he said that the Apni Party has committed to equitable development, protection to jobs, land, resources, addressing unemployment related issues, fighting against the mafia system, will resolve issues of transporters, hoteliers, traders, and promote tourism.
