The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dogra Degree College, in collaboration with the NSS, NCC, and UBA Units, organized a highly impactful plantation drive in the college premises under the “Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
The initiative, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, received enthusiastic participation from both students and staff.
The event was spearheaded by Principal Dr. Bela Thakur, who underscored the significance of environmental stewardship and encouraged the college community to actively engage in such initiatives and her support was pivotal in highlighting the importance of individual and collective efforts in protecting our environment.
The drive saw effective coordination by several key figures included Simran Thakur, NSS Programme Officer, DDC; Gulshan Sharma, NCC ANO/CTO, DDC; Kanchan Dubey, IQAC Coordinator, DDC and Balwant Singh, UBA Coordinator, DDC.
Their combined efforts ensured the smooth execution of the drive, which involved planting numerous saplings around the college campus. Each participant contributed to the success of the event, reinforcing the college’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign is an inspiring movement that encourages communities to plant trees in honor of their mothers, symbolizing a tribute to nature and future generations.
