JAMMU, Aug 1
Requesting the LG administration to ease further the procedure to take the benefit of the pro-people decision on Gair Mumkin Khads, Vikram Randhawa former MLC & senior leader of BJP stressed that Gair Mumkin Khads is no longer an issue and heaped praises on the Modi government and lauded the LG administration for series of people-centric decisions.
BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and Library Incharge Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra were also present at the Press Conference at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Vikram Randhawa, while addressing the media persons, said that he had earlier raised the issue on behalf of the party at the appropriate platforms while pressing for a quick pro-people decision on the burning issue of Gair Mumkin Khad in which the private land of many people was categorized as the Gair Mumkin Khad and the people were left clueless and helpless due to the irrational decision of previous administration. “No land could be marked as Gair Mumkin Khad until the 3 tier teams under Div Com, DC will not justify the same. Actual Khads will be identified under the decision”, Randhawa said while mentioning the new decision.
The people of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua were the worst sufferers. Now the LG administration has taken a pro-people decision that the lands will be cleared from the tag of Gair Mumkin Khad. Now the lands will be scrutinized and then it will be tagged as appropriately. He said that the order passed would categorize the Khads out of Khads. He emphasized that the Khads containing water bodies and prone to water should be termed as the Khads. Now this decision of the LG administration has provided a big relief to the people of Jammu.
Randhawa further requested the LG administration to ease the procedure for the above decision. He said that the most of needy people who don’t have financial resources and administrative approaches would find it difficult to take the benefit of this useful decision.
Randhawa also stressed that the LG administration has recently taken many other pro-people decisions that have benefitted the needy and the neglected. He said that the decision regarding proprietary rights to the West Pakistani Refugees has been a landmark judgment that has essentially removed a black spot. He also pointed out that soon they are expecting an order on 254-C, under which the people could not take the benefit of the land they have been allotted for important needs like loans etc.
Randhawa lauded the Modi government for its public welfare decisions and policies and stressed that the decisions of the Modi government have delivered justice to the Valmiki, Gorkha, WPRS, PoJK refugees, women, and other committees that suffered at the hands of previous governments. He also requested the LG administration to consider the issue of Custodian properties for the rights of the families who had been dwelling on those for decades and generations.
