Brig PS Cheema , Group Commander, NCC Jammu Group , felicitated the NCC cadets on behalf of DG NCC with cheques worth Rs 6000 each to Cadets Pratik Sharma, Abhinay Sharma and Pawan Sharma of DPS Rajbagh, Kathua as part of Cadet Welfare Society policy and Cheque of Rs 3500 as Best Cadet reward to Cadet Muskan Thakur of GDC Women Kathua. It was indeed heartening to learn about the aspirations the cadets hold to become competent leaders and responsible citizens.
During the interaction the cadets candidly shared their aspirations as to what they wish to become in their lives.
The Junior Cadet Rudar Sharma aspires to become an army doctor and Cadet Pratik Sharma and Cadet Abhinay Sharma hold the aspiration of joining the army as officers. Cadet Muskan Thakur who received the prize for Best Cadet has enrolled herself with a politician as an understudy to carry out a research on underprivileged children and she wants to enter into Indian Administrative services (IAS) as a policy maker to effect the change which the new generation aspires far.
NCC in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate under Additional Director General, Maj Gen Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva is committed to meet the aspirations of the youth through positive engagement of cadets and motivating them. The Group Commander, NCC Group Jammu congratulated the cadets and complimented the Head of the institute of DPS Rajbagh Kathua, Mr Vivek Arora and ANO
T/O Jagmohan Singh as all three junior cadets belong to this school. The efforts of Principal GDC Women Kathua, Dr Savi Behl and Care Taker Officer (CTO) Sonika Jasrotia were also lauded for guiding and nurturing cadet Muskan Thakur.
