Border dwellers backstabbed by BJP Govt with Agniveer scheme: Tony

Indira Bhalla, the wife of Congress candidate for Jammu Lok Sabha constituency, Raman Bhalla, urged the people of Jammu to rally behind the INDIA Alliance for the brighter future of the region’s youth.
She made these remarks while addressing a series of meetings organized by Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, and DDC Suchetgarh in border villages of RS Pura.
The Alliance meetings were conducted in several villages, including Miran Sahib organized by Kishore Kumar and Kundan Lal Sharma; in Village Satriyan organized by Kasturi Singh Chib and Sham Singh Chib; in Village Dablerh organized by Sarpanch Kulwinder Singh and Capt. Retired Hazard Singh; in Panchayat Magowali by Rashpal Singh Gill, Satvinder Singh Sarpanch, Rashpal Singh, and Don Choudhary; and in Village Sai organized by Sarpanch Sarabjit Singh and Shyama Choudhary.
Indira Bhalla, who was the Chief Guest, asserted that the BJP has not put forth any concrete policy for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, except recruitment scams and exacerbating joblessness. She emphasized the critical importance of collective action and solidarity in shaping a prosperous and inclusive future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
She underscored the transformative potential of the INDIA Alliance, a coalition committed to fostering opportunities, empowerment, and holistic development for the young generation of the region.
Indira Bhalla appealed to the people of border areas to wholeheartedly support Congress Candidate Raman Bhalla to realize the aspirations and dreams of the youth and paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
She reiterated the Congress party’s unwavering commitment to championing the cause of youth empowerment and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, urging all stakeholders to join hands in building a more vibrant and promising future for the generations to come.
Taranjit Singh Tony, in his address, strongly criticized the BJP-led Government at the Centre for its neglectful attitude towards the people residing in border areas. He underscored the gravity of the situation faced by those residing in these strategic areas, emphasizing their indispensable role in safeguarding the territorial integrity and security of the nation.
Specifically targeting the Agniveer scheme, Tony denounced it as detrimental to the aspirations of youth desiring to join the armed forces, asserting that the Modi government’s policies were dashing their dreams.
He unequivocally stated that if the Congress were to come to power, the scheme would be promptly abolished, and regular recruitments reinstated, aiming to restore the aspirations and opportunities of the country’s youth.
