A deligation of Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association Jammu comprised of Sh. Madan Rangila Vice President, Sh.Janak Khajuria spoks person. Sh. Harbans Sharma organizing Secretary and Sh. Sher Singh executive member led by its President Sh.J. S. Babli met with the President of Yuva Rajput Sabha Jammu Sh.Vikram Singh, ex president Sh. Rajan Singh (happy), Gen. Secretary Sh. Bhanu Partap Singh ,District President Jammu Sh.Avtar Singh and Secretary Sh.Daljit Singh at Top Sherkhaniyan Jammu and apprised them that our assocition is for the cause of protection, preservation and development of rich cultural Heritage ,art and languages of Duggar land in general and welfare of artists fraternity in particular in this regard we are demanding Satellite Duggar Channel since 2013 and handover the correspondence made the ministries of Home Affairs, Information and Broadcasting, Defence and prasar Bharti.
The spoks person of DADAA Sh. Janak Khajuria said that the Duggar’s rich composite cultural heritage, art, and various sub-regional aspirations like multi-languages, developmental needs crave for a Satellite Duggar Channel in this part of the country. It has stoutly been pleaded by the general masses as well as different social, cultural and literary organisation.
The Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) and all other social-cultural organisations and numerous prominent citizens have raised their voice for it in the past years.
This demand has now caught the imagination of the people residing not only within Duggar region but also living outside the State and even abroad.
The Non Resident Dogras too have been advocating the necessity of satellite Duggar Channel as they too want to remain in touch with their traditions, social conditions and vibrant cultural roots through this potent telecast medium.
But strangely they have been deprived of their rights in many sectors including satllite Duggar Channel, so far. Why is it so? How their legitimate demand for Satllite Duggar Channel has not been met by the governments till this day? It is still not too late to do the needful by the present Governments, in Jammu and Kashmir as also at the Centre.
In this regard more should be done for the people living in the Jammu region and seek their support.
The President Vikram Singh of Yuva Rajput Sabha and others listen the delegation of DADAA carefully and said that this is not the demand of artists only but of all Dogras and assured the delegation of DADAA to their full support till achived the long pending demand of Satellite Duggar Channel.
