Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, Senior leader of J&K BJP, recounted the endeavours of the Modi government to promote the Dogri language in Jammu & Kashmir and said that Dogri represents the irreplaceable culture and tradition of the Jammu region.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, State Media Incharge, J&K BJP, and Sanjay Bakshi, member Media Department were also present in the Press Conference held at BJP headquarters, Trikuta NAgar, Jammu.
Chander Mohan Sharma, appreciating the Modi Government for the promotion of the Dogri language in J&K said that under the Narendra Modi-led government, the Railway Department has installed displaying the names of railway stations in Dogri and also initiated the announcement for the facilities of the passengers in Dogri.
Sharma said that to give due place to the Dogri language along with another regional language Kashmiri, the Modi government brought a bill in the Parliament. He said that Radio Kashmir Jammu has also been renamed as Akashwani Jammu, with announcements in the Dogri language also, to boost the Dogri language further.
Chander Mohan Sharma said that the BJP government under the leadership of PM Modi is steadfast in giving due place to the Dogri language and taking all the essential measures. He, on the occasion, also counted upon the numerous projects and unprecedented development in terms of infrastructure development to boost the road network, education and medical facilities. He also appealed to the people to vote in favour of the BJP in Parliamentary elections to give more strength to PM Modi to give further pace to development in Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr Pardeep Mahotra said that when the Modi government brought the bill to include Dogri and Kashmiri languages as the official languages, NC leadership along with other political parties opposed the bill thus depicting the true nature of these parties. He said that parties like NC, Congress, and PDP have exploited the sentiments of people, and befooled the gullible population. In fact, these political parties deliberately misused the power corridor to loot the public of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh emotionally, economically, and culturally.
