Th. Gulchain Singh Charak urges devotees to participate in large numbers

A pivotal meeting was convened at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, under the Chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, President of the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, and Purmandal Uttarbehni Shrines Development Committee.
The meeting, attended by heads of different Mandir committees, representatives of the administration, and various stakeholders, aimed to finalize arrangements for the upcoming “30th Chhari Mubarak Yatra to Purmandal Shrines” scheduled for Chetar Chaturdashi on April 7, 2024.
After exhaustive deliberations, several key decisions were made. First, transportation arrangements will be ensured for devotees, especially from Purmandal Morh to Purmandal Uttarbehni Shrines, in coordination with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and Traffic Police. Second, provision of drinking water and electricity facilities along the route and during the three-day congregation at Purmandal will be facilitated by the Public Health Engineering (P.H.E) department.
Third, cleanliness initiatives in and around the temples at Purmandal and Uttarbehni will be spearheaded by the Municipal Committee Bari-Brahmana and the Tourism Department. Fourth, adequate restroom facilities will be set up at the banks of Devika, managed by the Tourism Authority. Fifth, law and order maintenance will be overseen by the concerned Police authorities. Sixth, repairs of damaged spots on the road leading to the shrines will be undertaken by the Public Works Department (P.W.D).
Nodal officers will coordinate with all concerned departments to ensure seamless arrangements during the Yatra and the three-day program, expecting a large number of devotees to participate. A special Chhari Pooja will be conducted on April 6, 2024, at 05:00 PM at Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir, Jammu, which will be arranged by the Dharmarth Trust. The Holy Chhari Yatra will commence from Ranbireshwar Mandir on April 7, 2024, at 07:00 AM led by Mahatma Rishi Ban.
Finally, after performing Pooja Archana at Shri Raghunath Temple, the Holy Maces will reach Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar, wherein a grand Pooja will be performed and after that the holy Chharis will be taken in a procession joined by large number of devotees to Purmandal Shrines via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Shri Narsing Dev Mandir and Data Ranpat Dev Mandir Birpur and special reception will be organized by the Muslim and Sikh brothern led by Haji Bhashir Ahmed Malik and Khatab Hussain at Kharah Madana and after passing through Mandal and other areas will finally reach Purmandal shrines.
After that Mahatmas along with other representatives will perform a special Pooja at the historical Shiv Temple Purmandal and then the Holy Chharis will be kept in the Mandir Complex for Darshan of general public. All the devotees are requested to participate in the Yatra as per above mentioned programme.
Prominent among others who participated included S/Shri S.C.Rekhi, (General Secretary) President- Dharamarth Turst, Col Karan Singh, V.K.Abrol, Romesh Thakur, Kulbhushan Bali, KB Magotra, Prithivi Raj, P.C Gupta, Indu Bhushan Sharma, Kiran Rajput, Ashok Khajuria, Pritam Singh and representatives of Bhandara Committee Bari-Brahmana, Purmandal-Uttarbehni Shrines Development Committee, President and Secretary of Shree Ram Mandir Shastri Nagar, Panch Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Data Ranpat Dev Committee, Narsing Dev Mandir Birpur and other prominent persons.
