Administration waiting for something untoward to happen

DOGRA HERALD BUREAU
JAMMU, Mar 21
Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has accused the administration of not giving equal playing field to opposition parties, especially Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit. Along with this, some unknown people in police uniform were also accused of breaking the hoarding installed in the party office late last night, regarding which a written complaint has been lodged with the police administration.
While talking to media in the party state office today, state chief Manish Sahni said that Jammu and Kashmir is a highly sensitive area, where terrorism has been active for the last three and a half decades.
He said that Shiv Sena is probably the only active political party in Jammu and Kashmir whose leaders have not been provided security. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections , the party had fielded its candidates on both the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu.
He said that during the expansion and campaigning of the party, our leaders always fear some untoward incident, but perhaps the administration is waiting for something untoward to happen.
Sahni said that on 9th March, police force was used in Srinagar to stop them from interacting with the public and media and late last night, the hoarding of the party founder, revered Bala Saheb Thackeray, installed on the roof of the party office located at Indira Chowk, Ranbir Yatri Bhawan, was demolished. He was informed about this by the hotel staff in the morning. Sahni said that he thought that perhaps such an action was taken in view of the code of conduct in view of the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, but all the officials including the police administration, Jammu District Magistrate and the Election Commission denied having any information about it. Sahni said that a complaint has been lodged at the concerned police station regarding the above mentioned matter and he hopes that adequate security will be provided with immediate effect to avoid any untoward incident in the party leaders and offices. On this occasion Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice president Sanjeev Kohli were present.
