CII J&K Delegation calls on Managing Director JPDCL

Jammu: A three member CII J&K Council delegation paid a courtesy call to welcome Mr. Vikas Kundal (IAS) upon joining as the Managing Director of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL). The delegation led by Dr. M. A. Alim, Vice Chairman of CII J&K Council, also included Mr. Sunil Gupta, Managing Director of Mehar Cements, and Mr. Khurshid Dar, Head CII Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various issues concerning the industry and extend an invitation to Mr. Kundal for a detailed discussion with CII J&K Council members in the coming days to address and resolve these concerns.
During the meeting, the delegation engaged in constructive discussions on a range of issues currently impacting the industry in the region.
These issues encompass regulatory challenges, infrastructure requirements, policy matters, and other obstacles hindering the growth and development of businesses. By engaging with Mr. Kundal, the delegation aimed to gain insights into the government’s perspective and explore potential avenues for collaboration to overcome these challenges collectively.
Furthermore, recognizing the significance of addressing industry concerns promptly, the CII J&K Council delegation extended an invitation to Mr. Vikas Kundal for a comprehensive and detailed discussion with CII J&K Council members. This discussion aims to facilitate the formulation of collaborative strategies and promote a conducive business environment.
Dr. M. A. Alim, Vice Chairman of CII J&K Council, expressed his optimism about the outcome of the meeting, stating, “The collaborative efforts between industry and government are crucial for driving sustainable growth and development in Jammu & Kashmir and energy and power distribution are critical enablers for business environment of any region”.
The CII J&K Council remains committed to facilitating dialogue and collaboration between industry stakeholders and the government to address challenges and unlock opportunities for growth and development in Jammu & Kashmir.
