Initiates development works worth crores in Suchetgarh

Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Congress and DDC Member of Suchetgarh, has strongly condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) shameful tactics of using electoral bonds to manipulate public opinion. The Saffron Party has once again demonstrated its disregard for transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
Speaking at the programme held here today, the senior Congress leader said that the implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) by BJP Govt is seen as nothing but a desperate attempt to divert people’s attention from the critical issue of electoral bonds. By introducing the CAA amidst widespread concerns about the lack of transparency in electoral funding through bonds, the BJP stands exposed in front of the people, he added.
Tony emphasized that the CAA does not address the pressing issues faced by the citizens of our country but is merely a smokescreen created by the BJP to deflect attention from its dubious actions. It is evident that the BJP’s priorities lie in maintaining its grip on power rather than addressing the genuine concerns of the people. He asked BJP to uphold the principles of democracy and transparency and also to prioritize the welfare of the citizens and take concrete steps towards ensuring fairness and accountability in the electoral process.
Earlier today, the senior Congress leader initiated the blacktopping of the road at Hara Peer Sai, with an allocated budget of Rs 3.56 crore. Upon completion, this road will serve as a vital link connecting over 50 villages up to Arnia and RS Pura.
Additionally, the senior Congress leader highlighted that the ongoing construction of a bridge near Hara Peer, with an estimated cost of Rs 11 crores, aimed at enhancing connectivity to village Sae from RS Pura. Assuring swift progress, Tony mentioned the expected completion of the bridge by the end of June.
Among those who were present include Sham Lal Bhagat, Roshan Lal Bhagat, Naib Sarpanch Heera Fougi, Sunny Sarpanch, Baldev Singh Bedu, youth leader Sonu Choudhary, Jindi Panch, and Yashpal Bhagat.
