Dr. Kunwrani Ritu Singh, a distinguished figure in education,women empowerment and culture preservation, was conferred with the prestigious International Women’s Day (IWD) Award 2024 by the Public Diplomacy Forum headed by Ratan Kaul and Nikita Khattar Arya in association with the Aruna Abhay Oswal Foundation, at the 17th Edition of the event held at Le Meridian Hotel, New Delhi.
A trailblazer in fostering innovation in education , promoting traditional values, and empowering underprivileged women, Dr. Singh embodies the perfect blend of business acumen and social responsibility. Her deep-rooted spirituality and unwavering dedication to women’s empowerment make her a driving force for positive change. She brings a wealth of contribution to education, culture, and women empowerment. Her visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on these fields, inspiring many and creating a positive impact.
The ceremony witnessed luminaries like Laxmi Puri, former Assistant Secretary-General at the United Nations, and the Former Deputy Executive Director of UN Women, as the guest of honor. Other esteemed guests included Aruna Abhey Oswal, K J Alphons, former Union minister and author, and Dr. Sachidanand Joshi, MS IGNCA.
Mrs. Ratan Kaul, a renowned figure in New Delhi’s cultural, social, diplomatic, business, and political circles, celebrated the spirit of ‘Being a Women’ at the 17th edition of the International Women’s Day Awards. The event showcased women achievers from different genres of life, setting examples for women globally by excelling in their respective fields.
Anshu Khanna, the legendary founder of Royal Fables was a partner for the IWD event.
The distinguished list of awardees included Aditi Maheshwari, Anuradha Prasad, Arti Bisaria, Arunima Kukreja, Chaiti Narula, Harpreet Hanjra, Kandla Nighowne, Manika Badhwar, Manjari Mishra, Pratima Pandey, Radhika Bharatram, Richa Anirudh, Ritika Jatin Ahuja, Ritu Singh, Ruchira Priyanka Hoon, Tulsi Kumar, and Varuna Anand. Marryam H Reshi was honored with the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award.
The UN theme for International Women’s Day ’24, ‘Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress,’ resonated throughout the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting women’s contributions.
The award presentation was followed by a High Tea/Networking session, providing an opportunity for the attendees to connect and celebrate the accomplishments of inspiring women across various fields.
