DOGRA HERALD BUREAU
JAMMU, Mar 9
Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Saturday took a jibe at one of the Congress leaders’ claim of clean sweeping Lok Sabha polls in J&K by saying that the oldest party leadership is daydreaming these days.
Kavinder’s statement came at an impressive function organized to launch development works worth Rs 1.5 crore in Cantonment Ward Nos. 3, 4 and 5.
The BJP stalwart said that the statements given by Congress leaders in Jammu show the height of over-confidence and their shallow knowledge about political happenings because going by the ground situation, even a layman can foretell that it will be difficult for this party to save its face in the UT as chances of forfeiting the bail bonds of its contenders are quite rife in all the seats. He said that although there is no ban on daydreaming in the country but it is strange that despite witnessing the pathetic outcomes with regard to PAGD and India bloc alliances in the region, the Congress leaders are braving the challenges without giving a thought that such statements are being taken as jokes by the electorate discrediting the acumen of the leadership of Congress in J&K.
He said that it is mere frustration of Congress leaders in J&K that they are giving such statements which are without any basis as there is only one party at the moment in J&K which has been able to make strong-hold in all parts of the UT and that is one and only BJP.
Kavinder said that under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi, BJP has successfully taken all the central government schemes to grassroots level with every single scheme achieving saturation and providing succor to all the eligible beneficiaries. He said that people in J&K have understood well the deception of political parties which had failed the people in the last several decades therefore it is advisable for Congress, NC, PDP, etc to stop trying to fool them again as this now is next to impossible.
He asked the people of J&K to stop bothering about the fake narratives being spread by Congress and other parties and extend unflinching support to BJP for accelerating progress of the region and prosperity. Others who were present include Vinay Gupta, Narinder Gupta Koki District Vice President, Bharat Bhushan Vice Chairman Cantonment Board, Jasbeer Kour Pandey, Amrik Singh, Hans Raj, MP Singh, Pardeep Kour and Kamal Kishore.
