Educational Visits of Schools of Samba District to CUJ

Central University of Jammu under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain organised the study visits of students and Teachers of High and Higher Secondary Schools of district Samba covering all zones viz. Samba, Ghagwal, Ramgarh, Purmandal, Marh, Gandhi Nagar (Khanna Chhargal) and Vijaypur starting from 27th of February, 2024 to 6th of March, 2024. The Study visit of around 3000 students and 300 teachers was jointly organized by the office of Dean Students’ Welfare and Indian National Young Academy of Science under the convenership of Dr. Shweta Yadav.
A team of University faculty coordinators and co-coordinators were framed in each department with the purpose of orienting the students and teachers about the University. The students and teachers from schools of Samba district visited the different departments of CUJ, Campus including the Auditorium, ISRO, DRDO, Computer labs, Language labs, Library and hostels. The educational tour forms the part of their modern teaching –learning process, wherein the students learned first-hand experience with respect to real-time working of Central university of Jammu.
The departments of university welcomed the students and teachers and oriented them about various courses offered by their departments along with the speciality of each program/ course offered. The students and teachers were oriented about the procedure of admission into various courses. The coordinators also briefed them about various curricular and co-curricular activities and fests organised by the University from time to time.
During the visit, the teachers and students also came across the facilities like Health centre, Sports, Gym, Canteen and Banking services provided in the campus. Special arrangements of refreshment were also made available for students and faculty members. The students and teachers felt very happy and entertained. They expressed their gratitude and shared their valuable feedback regarding their exposure to university life. They left the place with the rich vivid experience of academic and hostel life. The whole event was carried out smoothly under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain who is always a source of inspiration and very committed for school university partnership thereby encouraging academia community participation.
