DOGRA HERALD BUREAU
JAMMU, Feb 28
Sham Lal Langer, Convenor Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Trade Cell, Jammu and Kashmir has lambasted the opposition parties and their leaders of creating false narratives about the performance of the Modi led BJP Govt at the Centre.
In a statement issued to media here today, the senior BJP leader said that the opposition leaders are unnecessarily raking up the non issues like that of providing jobs to youth, restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir besides many other self created issues.
He said that so far as providing jobs to the youth of the nation including the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the progress can be well gauged from the fact that during the last five years Modi government has recruited more than 2.43 lakh youth in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
It is pertinent to mention here that during the last 10 years of BJP Rule, 54 battalions have been raised in CAPFs. This is only one sector where such a huge job creation has been effected by the incumbent Govt, not to talk of other sectors where much more jobs have been provided to youth under various schemes launched by the Govt.
Sham Lal Langer stated that under the ‘Rozgar Melas’ lakhs of candidates have been appointed in multiple sectors across the nation. He said that these Melas proved quite beneficial for a substantial number of youth in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory too.
He condemned the opposition parties for turning a blind eye to the positive developments across J&K during the past decade of BJP governance.
Terming Aug 5, 2019 as a historic day for J&K when Article 370 of the Constitution was abrogated, he said that now all the constitutional safeguards enjoyed by the citizens of the country stand extended to Jammu and Kashmir including progressive laws like Right to Education, National Minorities Commission Act, etc. The enactment of these laws has guaranteed equality and fairness to all, including Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, women, children and senior citizens. Even a provision of 10 per cent reservation has been made for the upliftment of economically backward classes in jobs and educational institutions, he added.
Sham Langer said that peace and rule of law stands fully restored in J&K today as the terror ecosystem has been totally dismantled with very rare terror related instances reflecting desperation and frustration of the elements inimical to the nation and especially to the people of J&K.
He said that the people across the Union Territory of J&K and across the nation are the best judge of the situation and they are well aware of the obnoxious game plan of the opposition parties.
He asserted that they are waiting for the upcoming elections to teach such opposition parties a lesson by totally decimating them in the political arena of the nation.
