The monthly meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Disabled Welfare Trust was held in the old hospital premises in Akhnoor under the supervision of association president Sham Lal. Many disabled people participated in the meeting and informed the Trust officials about their problems. Trust President Sham Lal and Chairman Sushil Sharma also listened to the grievances of the disabled and assured to get them resolved from the concerned department.
Chairman Sushil Kumar, present in the meeting, told the disabled people present in the meeting that one of our important demands is being fulfilled by Sheetal Nanda, Secretary of the Social Welfare Department. He told that the department has started paying our pension dues which were pending. Expressing his gratitude to the departmental secretary, he also requested for early resolution of other pending issues. Sushil Sharma said that the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Jammu and Kashmir on the 20th. On this occasion, on behalf of all the disabled people of Jammu and Kashmir, he demands that the pension of the disabled should be increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000 so that the disabled can People can survive.
