In a significant turn of events highlighting the growing influence of public advocacy and the quest for restoring the rights of local communities, approximately 100 individuals from various political backgrounds have united under the banner of Shiv Sena (UBT) in the Jammu and Kashmir unit.
The transformative gathering took place in the Karmchi area of Udhampur district, where around 100 BJP workers and supporters made a resolute decision to join Shiv Sena, symbolized by the display of placards proclaiming “Resignation from BJP” and “Time for Shiv Sena.” The presence of State Chief Manish Sahni added gravitas to the occasion as he welcomed the new members into the fold of Shiv Sena.
During the program, Party Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, Organizer Balwant Singh, Shaikh Muhammad, Kamgar Raj Singh, and District Udhampur President Sanjeev Sharma extended warm greetings to the newcomers with the traditional Shiv Bandhan and Nishan.
The local populace, deeply entrenched in their concerns about infrastructural deficiencies such as dilapidated roads, erratic electricity supply, inadequate water access, and the need for pension schemes for senior citizens and the disabled, shared their grievances with the Shiv Sena leadership.
In his impassioned address, Sahni criticized the government’s expenditure of public tax money on initiatives like the smart city project while neglecting the fundamental needs of villages like Karimchi and Har Tehran in Udhampur, which continue to struggle with basic amenities.
Sahni reaffirmed Shiv Sena’s commitment to prioritizing the rights of local residents, emphasizing the party’s resolve to ensure better education, healthcare, free electricity and water, as well as job opportunities and educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. He announced Shiv Sena’s intention to contest upcoming elections with a steadfast commitment to serving the public interest.
Further bolstering the party’s organizational structure, Sahni appointed Rajesh Verma as the District General Secretary and included Muhammad Hussain, Bashir Ahmed, Ghulam Haider, Muhammad Riaz as officials of the Har Tehran and Mancha villages, while Muhammad Shakeel was included in the list of officials for the Karimchi unit.
The event witnessed the presence of numerous party luminaries including Mangu Ram, Vishal Verma, and Neelam, underscoring the collective resolve and unity driving Shiv Sena’s vision for meaningful change and empowerment at the grassroots level.
