In the holy presence of Nirankari Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ji, 45 couples tied the knot in a mass marriage ceremony held at the venue of the 57th Nirankari Sant Samagam in Nagpur, near Mihan, on Monday, January 29.
Satguru Mata Ji blessed the newly married brides and grooms to live the household life with devotion and congratulated their families for adopting simple marriage through the Nirankari method and gave them best wishes.
In this mass marriage ceremony, the special symbol of Nirankari marriage with traditional Jayamala was made to be worn to each couple by representatives of the Mission. During the pledge ceremony (lavas), Satguru Mata Ji and Rajpita Ji showered flowers on the bride and groom and gave their divine blessings. The relatives of the bride and groom present in the program also showered flowers. It was certainly a blissful sight.
On this auspicious occasion today, a total of 45 couples from different states of India including Nagpur, Vadsa, Mumbai, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Chiplun, Dhule, Dombivali, Jalna, Kolhapur, Nashik, Palghar, Pune, Solapur etc. of Maharashtra besides the brides and grooms of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana and Odisha etc. After the mass marriage, proper arrangements for food for all were made at the meeting place.
It is noteworthy that simple marriages saw the inclusion of many brides and grooms who were graduates, postgraduates and highly educated.
There were some families who could marry their children with great pomp but they chose to celebrate the event under the holy umbrella of the Satguru, adopting her divine teachings. Thereby, setting an ideal example in front of the society towards simplicity.
Undoubtedly, this ethereal scene of simple marriages was presenting a beautiful message of unity by eradicating the inequality of caste, creed, which is also the message of the Nirankari Mission.
