Under the aegis of POJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti J&K, a meeting was convened in the office of the Samiti at Ved Mandir complex in which various issues pertaining to POJK displaced persons were discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Deepak Kapoor and Arun Chowdhary (President and General secretary of Samiti) who voiced strong appeal to the administration to resolve various land allotment issues of the community regarding regularisation of their colonies, ownership rights, evacuee/custodian property rights to displaced persons of 1947 POJK and also west Pakistan refugees of 1965 and 1971.
Further it was impressed upon to speed up the process of domicile certificate issuance to POJK displaced persons who settled outside J&K by the Relief and Rehabilitation commissioner along with expediting the process of providing Rs. 5.50 lakh cash relief to left out families settled within J&K.
The purpose of such appeals is to generate awareness amongst the common public about the pertinent issues which remained unresolved till date. Appeal is made to find resolutions of such peculiarities at the earliest for the betterment of the general public and provide relief to the concerned citizens at the earliest while voicing out their concerns from such platforms which are impactful for their betterment.
The meeting was attended by all executive members and advisors of the Samiti.
