New Delhi, January 29: Proceedings of the Maldivian parliament came to a halt on Sunday as members came to blows, with videos showing Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) MP Isa fighting with ruling Peoples’ National Congress (PNC) MP Abdullah Shaheem Abdul Hakeem.
Adhadhu, an online news outlet in the Maldives, showed Shaheem grabbing Isa’s leg and the two falling together, while Isa was seen kicking Shaheem’s neck and pulling his hair.
The footage also shows other members pushing Shaheem out of the area. A member of parliament was brought to an ambulance after suffering injuries, the local media reported.
