Vishesh Gurmat Samagam held with religious fervour at Digiana Ashram

jammu:A mammoth Vishesh Gurmat Samagam was held with religious fervour at the Digiana Ashram of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib on account of the Prakash Utsav Of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Tenth Guru of the Sikhism, under the aggies and patronage of Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh ji, the Chief of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib ji, as per the Nanak Shahi Calendar, approved & issued by Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib Ji, Sri Amritsar. More than Twenty Thousands of Sikh Sangat and the devotees from all walks of life attended this Samagam and vowed to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to pay their obeisance to Guru Govind Singh ji.
The Holi sermons of Gurbani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji were recited by the renowned Raagies and Kirtan Jathas and the teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji were preached by the renowned preachers, katha vachaks & historians of Sikh Panth. Many religious and social organizations throughout the Jammu and KASHMIR including the members of DGPC ‘s from different districts of J&K UT participated in this Historical Vishesh Gurmat Samagam.
Addressing the Sikh Sangat present on the occasion, Sriman Mahant Manjit Singh ji said that we all should live our lives as per the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and must follow the path shown by Guru Gobind Singh ji. He also stressed upon whole of the Sikh World to follow in letter & spirit the instructions & orders / Hukumnamas issued by SRI AKAAL TAKHAT SAHIB JI, AMRITSAR, The Highest Sikh Temporal in the world and celebrate all the Gurupuravs & other Historical events as per the NANAK SHAHI CALENDAR issued by Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib ji. Sriman Mahant Manjit Singh ji also thanked the J&K UT administration headed by Sh. Manoj Sinha ji, Hon’ble LG of J&K UT for the installation of the Statue of Baba Gurbakhash Singh ji (Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji) at the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

Jammu-Kashmir, appealed to whole of the Sikh Community of J&K UT to be United on the one platform under the one banner to get all the demands & issues of Sikh Community conceded & resolved by showing our unity to the Government. He appreciated the role & cooperation extended by all the religious & social Sikh organizations including all the DGPC’s due to which the Sikh Coordination Committee Jammu-Kashmir has achieved success in the Implementation of Anand Marriage Act in J&K UT and the installation of the Statue of First Sikh General & Ruler Baba Gurbakhash Singh ji (Baba Banda Singh Bahadur ji).
The Guru Ka Langar was served to the Sangat after the completion of the Vishesh Gurmat Samagam.
