Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aimed at maximizing the impact of government initiatives, covered both rural and urban areas in Ramban District today.
With a focus on underserved regions, the initiative, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, traversed through Chareel, Krawah, and wards no 3 of Ramban town. The goal is to bridge the gap between government schemes and the people, ensuring effective implementation and enhancing residents’ quality of life.
The DC commended the on-spot services provided by different departments during the Yatra.
Enrolment and awareness activities for beneficiary schemes, including Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY, Poshan Abhiyan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM Kissan Nidhi, PMMVY, PMEGP, PMAY, MUDRA Yojana and others, were emphasized. The efficient execution of these schemes on the ground has led to tangible benefits and positive changes in the daily lives of the public.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Banihal, Zaheer Abbas Bhat, highlighted the Yatra’s role in creating awareness and fostering engagement with government schemes. The significance of self-employment in promoting economic independence was underscored, along with the transformative potential embedded in these initiatives.
The primary objective is to educate the public and extend the benefits of government schemes to the unreached population of the district.
CEO Municipal Council Ramban, Sudarshan Jamwal, expressed gratitude to participants for their active involvement and commended the locals for contributing to the implementation of various schemes and projects in town Ramban.
