Youth Wing activists of Shiv Sena Hindustan J&KUT led by Youth Wing President Ganesh Choudhary along with locals today held strong protest against the dilapidated condition of road from Duniya to Dhyansar Sarore and total neglect on the part of District Administration and the concerned R&B authorities. Earlier SSH activists and local people assembled at Bari Brahamana and held strong protest demonstration. They were raising loud slogans in support of their demand and also against the District Administration Jammu and the PW (R&B) authorities.
They alleged that despite strong protests, the authorities despite assurance remained unmoved. They alleged that neither local administration nor, R&B SE and Executive Engineer are serious about the road. Due to worst condition of road the locals have been left to suffer.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Choudhary said the road in question is in worst conditions and R&B failed to maintain this road despite huge hue and cry from public. Most of the people who move on Scooties or bikes have to face hardship due to dilapidated condition of road leading to Sarore from Duniya to Dyansar.
Hundreds of inhabitants living in different villages falling on road from Duniya to Dyansar who communicate on this dilapidated road on daily basis, have suffered manifold problems demanding blacktopping of the road in the shortest possible time.
Ganesh threatened to intensify their protest if their demand of blacktopping of road is not redressed.While speaking on the occasion he said that the condition becomes worst in the rainy days as the entire road becomes slippery because of mud filled potholes throughout the stretch.He alleged that the road is in dilapidated condition but despite several requests, neither the concerned department nor the local Administration has bothered to address the problem.Ganesh, while accusing the authorities of being insensitive towards the people living in Duniya to Dyansar and adjoining area, said that thousands of inhabitants of area are suffering due to non-maintenance and repair of road since long.
Ganesh further said that the worsened condition of this road can be gauged from the fact that its black topping has not been done for the last many years, he said and held PWD responsible for the same.”The inhabitants of area are aghast over the alleged step-motherly treatment by the concerned authorities as despite running from pillar to post since the last many years, they did nothing except giving assurances to repair the stretch of road from Duniya to Dhyansar, thereby endangering the life of hundreds of villagers who have no other option but to travel on this only road link of the area”, said Ganesh.
