Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk, Jammu, celebrated Annual Day cum Prize distribution function with great enthusiasm and fervor here todayin the Auditorium Hall of thisinstitute. On this occasion, the 6th edition of college magazine “ASPIRE”was also released. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sh. Sudershan Kumar JKAS, Director Skill Development DepartmentJ&K and Guest of Honour was Sh. Rakesh Kumar Srangal JKAS, Managing Director JKSRTC J&K.
The function started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by distinguished guests. Principal of the College Er.ArunBangotra, read the annual report and highlighted the all-round achievements of the college during the year 2023. In his welcome Address he called upon the students to work with dedication and optimally utilize their skill to meet the challenges of the competitive world.
Sh. Sudershan Kumar while speaking on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of the Principal of the college and staff for commendable performance in academics, sports, placements and organizing various activities and workshops during the academic session 2022-23 and the release of 6th edition of college magazine. He also appreciated theexcellent cultural program presented by the student. He applauded the efforts of the college Principal and staff and students of the institution for their academic excellence in the year 2023 and felicitated all the students for their excellence in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities at State and National Level. A cultural bonanza was presented by the students depicting rich cultural heritage of the INDIA. The cultural programme started with SaraswatiVandana by studentPooja, Shweta& group. This was followed Dogri Dance by Sia& group, Patriotic Group Song “SandeseAateHai” by Gourav, Rudra& group, Fusion Dance by Pooja, Tanya & group. A Skit on NashaMukt Bharat and Viksit Bharat @2047 was showcased by the students of 1st semester of this institute. Arun&Kanav and team mesmerized the audience with their soulful voice and guitar play by presenting a Folk Song followed by Fashion Show depicting the various dresses prepared by the Fashion Designing students of the college and was coordinated by Mrs. Surekha& Mrs. Sanyogita Instructor IRG. In the last an energetic bangraperformance was presented by Gagandeep, Supinder& group which enthralled the audience. The anchor of the programme was Ms. Karuna and Ms. Archita student of this institutionand coordinated by cultural committee headed by Smt. Rani Devi, HoD Information Technology Department. Later the prizes were distributed to the students who excelled in academic, sports and extra-curricular activities. On the occasion various faculty, staff members of this institute was also felicitated. The institute also felicitated Er AkashKapoor JKAS alumni of this institute for this remarkable achievement.
The programme was coordinated by faculty Er SakshiKapahi, Sh. Chamel Singh, Er AmitKapoor,Sh. AkashDisgotra and Ms. Itika Sharma. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Er Jasdeep Kour HOD Instrumentation & Control Engineering department of this institution.The others presenton the occasion were Er. Suket Gupta Principal Governemnt Polytechnic for Women Jammu, Er K.S. Bhatia Registrar JKBOTE, Sh. Firdous Account Officer DSD, Er. Inderjeet Singh, Er Sukhdeep Singh,ErManjeet Singh, Ar.
