In an inspiring display of leadership and community engagement, District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Kathua, Col Mahan Singh today spearheaded the Viksat Bharat Sankalap Yatra across the remote Dhar Mahanpur Block. The Yatra, signifying a pledge for a progressive India, was conducted with great fervor and participation in the villages of Sananghat, Barighat, Kholi Talai, Dharahanpur, and Simni.
Col Mahan Singh led the Yatra accompanied by several notable personalities including Navdeep Saberwal, Block Development Officer of Dhar Mahanpur; Capt Harnam Singh, a Senior BJP Functionary; Gian Batadia, BJP Mandal Pardhan; Shushma Thakur, BDC Chairperson; along with other distinguished members of the community.
Throughout the Yatra, Col Mahan interacted with the local residents, listening to their concerns and discussing various developmental projects and initiatives. He emphasized the importance of the Viksat Bharat Sankalap Yatra, highlighting its role in promoting unity, social harmony, and sustainable development in the region.
“Viksat Bharat Sankalap Yatra is an initiative aimed at fostering national unity and promoting sustainable development goals across rural and remote areas of India. It symbolizes a pledge for a progressive, inclusive, and prosperous nation, engaging citizens from all walks of life in a dialogue for development,” he added.
The DDC Chairman asserted that the Yatra served as a platform to reiterate the commitment of the government and local administration towards the inclusive growth of Kathua, particularly in its more remote areas.
