Apni Party President Kandi Belt (Bani – Basohli) and Spokesperson, Yasar Choudhary today appealed to authorities to ensure basic amenities and road infrastructure in remote villages of District Kathua.
As per a press statement, Yasar said that the authorities have completely failed to implement public welfare schemes and developmental policies on the ground for the last several years in rural areas / villages.
“The road infrastructure in shabby condition, the hospitals are without proper equipment and needed specialized staff and doctors,” he said, expressing anguish over the failure of the authorities.
He further stated that the authorities should make public the developmental and public welfare schemes and its implementation.
“The people in the hilly region have been ignored regarding all sorts of developmental activities.
However, the authorities have not disclosed anything about the implementation schemes meant for public welfare/development,” he said.

He demanded that the progress of schemes which have been implemented should be made public.
“There is a need to fix accountability of the officials who fail to implement Govt schemes,” he demanded.

He also sought attention of the authorities towards the tourism sector.

“Bani and Basohli have huge potential for tourism, but the authorities have failed to identify and explore the possibility of tourism promotion that would help in generating employment and development of the hilly region,” he added.
