Democratic Progressive Azad Party leaders have asked its workers in RS Pura to reach out to the people and ensure massive participation in the upcoming public rally of party chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad. The party General Secretary RS Chib, while addressing his workers of Suchetgarh constituency in support of the R.S.Pura rally, said that former CM & Chairman DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad is scheduled to address a rally on December 23. “We are expecting massive participation in the rally, organized by Ch Gharu Ram. Chairman DPAP, Ghulam Nabi Azad will be addressing this historic rally at RS Pura constituency,” he said.
Chib asked his workers to reach out to the people at the grassroots and ensure maximum participation. He mentioned that hundreds of party workers are already on the job and preparing for this mega political activity. Hoping that people from all walks of life will join the rally, Chib said that the people of the area remember the golden era of development during Azad’s tenure as Chief Minister in the erstwhile State.
Vice Chairman G.M. Saroori said DPAP, led by Azad, is committed to fighting and securing the jobs and land rights of the people of J&K. He mentioned that once they form the government, they will strengthen the laws to ensure that resources, especially lands and jobs, are secured for local people only. “We have no other option than to fight for the security of government jobs and lands, which are our primary resources to run our economy. After Article 370 abrogation and the Supreme Court ruling to uphold the August 5, 2019 decision, the laws are very fragile and weak to protect our resources and assets,” he said. He promised that under the leadership of Azad, the party will take it as a primary and serious issue in the interests of the people.
“Azad is very concerned for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their rights. That is why he is popular and acceptable in both regions.” On the occasion, the party also opened the block office at Suchetgarh. The office was inaugurated by Vice Chairman GM Saroori. Others present on the occasion include Provincial President Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chief Spokesperson Salman Nizami, Zonal President Ch Gharu Ram, Sobat Ali Gen Secretary Province ST Wing, Vishal Chopra Gen Secretary Province, Balbir Singh Distt President, Ashok Bhagat Distt President, Kulwant Singh Gen Secretary Province, Block president Ranjit Singh, and others.
