Chief Patron & a veteran leader Sheikh Ab. Rehman Ex-MP, in a meeting of the Forum for Peace & Teritorial Integrity of J&K, held here has strongly assailed the double face! rulling dipensations J&K affairs.
While reacting to the judgment of Apex Court with regard to Article 370 & 3-A, Mr. Rehman said that Govt. of India led by Narinder Mod, hatched a deep rooted conspiracy to do away with the Article-170 maintaining that whole alleged some force here as Pro-Pak or anti-national and on the other hand, sided with them in forming the Govt. here keeping in view the lust of power.
With a calculated move, firstly Assembly was dissolved & President Rule was revoked & then unconstitutionally recommendation was obtained & later on the basis of brute majority in the Parliament.
Article 370 was annulled to fulfill their political aspirations and against the wishes of the people quite true to the direction “running with here and hunting with bound forgetting that it had aligned with the same forces who nurtured it Haling the directions of Apex Court to restore State Status to J&K, Mr. Rehman said that restoration of its lost status to J&K is a welcome step together with elections in the statte will certainly strengthen the democracy and democratic forces and remote control system from New Delhi for long time, is no solution at all. Alricle-1 of the Indian Constitution clearly maintains that India is a Union of states & given its federal shape where states have more powers but sadly not only powers were snatched here, but state structure also reduced making a mockery of the constitution badly misusing the majority in the Parliament.
He further lamented the ruling dispensation that despite all this hulla ballo, the Patreach Maharaja Han Singh & Union of India, is still alive which gave only three subjects viz. Defence, Communication & Foreign Affairs retaining all other affairs for the state & whose legality can never be altered he maintained.
Rehman appeals Omar Abdullah, having served the people of J&K for a long time & having locus stand in the matter should move International Court of Justice- Hague, instead of remaining in isolation, for seeking justice & jurisprudence.
