A Career Orientation talk on “Career opportunities in Indian Capital Market” was organised by the Placement & Career Counselling Cell in collaboration with Alumni Cell of Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana for the students on 06th of December 2023 in the College Auditorium. awareness on how to invest safely and highlights the career opportunities in Indian capital Market.
Students of 2nd& 3rd year of BBA and B.Com took part in this session. The event was organized under the support of Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College by Ms.Preeti Sharma, Assistant Professor in Management. The resource person elaborated the various job opportunities available in the Indian Capital Market. He also explained the importance of savings and how savings can be invested in efficient manner. He also talked about various avenues of investment to the students including mutual fund share market etc.
The event was a very lively interaction. The session began at 11:30am in College Auditorium. It earlier commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony and further proceeded with the formal welcome address to the speaker of the day by Ms. Priyanka Sharma, Lecturer in English. At the end of the career oriented talk, there was a Question-Answer session. The speaker welcomed every question and satisfied the curiosity of the listeners.
It was overall an informative and learning experience for the students and the faculty. After the session a feedback was filled by attendees to give general comments and suggestion regarding the lecture. The session ended with the formal vote of thanks presented by Shivani Kashyap, Assistant Professor in Commerce.
