The J&K Dharmarth Trust today distributed sports kits to the students of Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya, Birpur, aiming to promote sports among the youth and encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. In this regard, SSP Ashok Sharma (Retd), Secretary of the Trust visited Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya and handed over sports kits to the students in presence of managing authorities.
Parveen Khajuria, Principal of Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya, Anil Kumar Sharma and Kuldeep Kumar, Sanskrit Teachers, Bindu Chib, English Teacher, Vinod Kumar Computer Teacher and Sushil Singh Maths Teacher were present.
Addressing the students, the Secretary threw light on the importance of sports in our lives. He said that sports can help the youth to stay physically and mentally fit, develop a sense of discipline and teamwork, and build a strong character.
Ashok Sharma emphasized the crucial role of sports in steering the youth away from the clutches of drugs and other detrimental social vices. “Drug addiction is a serious problem that can have devastating consequences for youth,” he added.
Ashok Sharma also highlighted the dire need to make youth stay away from drugs and other social evils. He said that sports can provide a healthy outlet for the youth’s energy and help them to stay away from negative influences.
The Secretary emphasized the importance of striking a balance between sports and studies. He encouraged the students to actively participate in sports while continuing to focus on their academic pursuits. He assured them that the Trust would provide the necessary support to help them achieve success in both areas.
The Secretary also urged the Principal of Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya to start yoga classes for the students especially weaker students as part of a broader initiative to create a more holistic and supportive learning environment.
Besides this, the Secretary has also reviewed the ongoing development works in the Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya. He informed that the Hon’ble Chairman Trustee has sanctioned enormous funds for the renovation and upliftment of the Shri Raghunath Sanskrit Mahavidhalaya.
The students were grateful for the sports kits and expressed their enthusiasm for participating in sports activities.
